History
Lanya
Junior High School was founded in 1977,
located in No.51, Sec. 2, Zhong-Cheng Rd., Shilin District, Taipei City. The campus of Lanya Junior
High School takes up about 22000 square meters in total. In addition to
ordinary classrooms and administration offices, we also established
special classrooms for certain purposes such as physics & chemistry,
home economics, woodworking, metal working, electrical, music, art, etc.
Therefore, hardware and software equipments at our school are quite
efficient. Furthermore, now we have 57
classes in all territories and the number of the
students is up to one thousand and
eight
hundred.
Based
on the educational objectives of junior high school, our school advocates
proportional development in pursuit of morality, intelligence, athletics
and aesthetics. In daily life, we intensively pay attention to students’
life education, democratic as well as moral education. We not
only teach students with patience, love and tolerance, but also provide
assistance, guidance and consulting service for students. In order to
cultivate morality and promote students to grow up in a healthy way, we
have done our best with great efforts through years. In addition, we
encourage students to form good habits and foster morals in patriotism,
courtesy, neatness, hardworking, frugality, and so on. Because of efforts that both school and teachers have made, the reputation of our school is widely known in Taipei city. For several years, having devoted to our public education, we hope that each student in our school will develop their good personalities and increase their self-reliant ability.
Principal's Achievement
The
first principal was
Mr.
Yong-Zhen, Chen. During his period of management, the first and second
period constructions of the school were completed.
In
August of 1981,
Mr.
Zi-Lie, Xu
took
over the principal. Except the preparation of building the Student Center,
he also founded the swimming pool on campus.
However,
because of overwork, Mr. Xu fell sick and
died
in fatigue. Thus,
Mr.
Shen-Miao, Zhou
was appointed as vice president for overall management of school affairs
and continued to complete the building of
Student
Center.
After
Mr. Zhou retired with honor on February 1, 1992,
Mr.
Fu-Xiong, Hong
succeeded as the fourth principal. He increased the teaching equipments;
moreover, he
embellished
and greened the campus.
In August of 1996,
Mr.
Zheng-Ji, Zeng took over the school. To set a safe and joyful
environment for learning, he was devoted to mending the buildings, making
green by planting trees, reconstructing the school gate and repairing the
Student Center, swimming pool, playground and other constructions.
Furthermore, he improved the school's technological equipment to raise
educational quality. Most importantly, he actively interacted and
communicated with the community to set up a new image of Lanya, which
enhanced the school's fame. In August of 2006, Ms. Yu-Wan,Yu was installed as the sixth principal. In addition to respect to the divergent intelligence of every student and appreciation of their various achievements, she also put the emphasis on the administrative efficiency and teacher’s professional development to ensure the students’ best learning quality.In August of 2010, Ms. Shu-Zhen, Lv succeeded as the principal. In addition to spreading international education, she continued to promote students’ pluralism intellectual development, teachers’ professional development, close parent-teacher cooperation, and community resources sharing.
Incumbent President Ms. Zhi An,Li took over the school in August of 2016. The idea of running the school is to believe in change. The goal of running a school is to create a harmonious and enterprising campus culture. Leading the school to win the (2017-2019 year) Highlights Project School and succeed in picking stars.
